Bhagirathi is one of The most beautiful and scenic river in the Garhwal, Uttarakhand.

The Bhagirathi River is the tributary of River Ganga. This river ranges through spectacular valleys and gorges till Deoprayag where it merges with the Alakananda River to become one of the worlds most revered and sacred rivers - Ganga.

Bhagirathi is one of the most beautiful and scenic rivers in the Garhwal Himalayas. Many successful rafting trips have been made on the turbulent Bhagirathi from Uttarkashi to Deoprayag by both Indian and Foreign rafters. This stretch is having a dangerous grade V - VI rapids and many portages have to be done.

The Bhagirathi is one of the most challenging white water rivers in the Indian The joy of riding on the waves of Bhagirathi. Himalayas. The best time to run this river is mid Oct. till mid April in eight days. This six day run, one of the India's greatest rafting adventures, goes from Tehri to Rishikesh in the Himalayas. From Nov. to mid Dec. and from Feb. to April you move through at least two gorges and river valleys and even maneuver a small waterfall.
